James Earley is an artist living and working in Dublin. His distinctive style is rooted in graffiti, graphic design and his family’s heritage in stained glass. He creates artworks that are timeless in their aesthetic and rich in their conceptual narrative. With an emphasis on colour, form and movement, there is a strong reference to abstract expressionism within Earley’s work.
Earley’s principle aesthetic focus is to visualise deconstructed stained glass windows, where the architectural forms of the window (lead, glass) hang in suspended tension.
Ceadogán have collaborated with James on ‘The Widening Gyre’, a limited edition rug setting out to explore and express the most perfect of creative forms.
