Katie studied Textile Design in NCAD, graduating in 2014. She came to Ceadogán Rugmakers through university and has been a featured designer ever since.

Katie’s work takes inspiration from the textures and natural beauty of the Irish countryside and fuses this together with linear structures drawn from modern architecture.

In 2021, some additional designs were introduced to Katie’s collection. “LOU” “NIE” and “PUK” are bold and playful designs from Katie inspired by Bauhaus interactions of shapes and Hockney’s fresh and playful pool scapes, and evoking a sense of fun and escapism [that would brighten up any home].
