WHAT IS THE TURNOVER TIME?
This really depends on how busy  we are. As standard it would be 6 – 8 weeks from when the design/colours/materials have been agreed. Generally, we can work to a timeframe with enough notice. 

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE? 

100% pure wool. We also have samples of bamboo/silk/hemp/mohair etc. These are nice to see. 

HOW MUCH PER SQ METER?   

€700 roughly, design complexity and materials dependant. Mainie Jellett not included as these are limited edition art pieces. 

HOW MUCH PER SQ FOOT?

€65 roughly, design complexity and materials dependant. Mainie Jellett not included as these are limited edition art pieces. 

 Jellett’s priced at €125 per square foot. 

HOW MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE IS SILK?

Depends of the ratio – sometimes clients opt for a silk / wool ratio to keep costs down. NB. Silk is actually a silk/wool mix (55%:45%) This is to make the silk stand up, as silk alone would flop over.

HOW THICK ARE THE RUGS?

Standard depth  is 12 mm, but we can do from 5 to 25 mm should client so desire. 

This also effects the cost. 

WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS?

We make to any dimensions. We also make to any shape so the rug is essentially tailor-made to each client for their location. 

I’M IN WEXFORD, CAN I SEE YOUR DESIGNS? 

Please feel free to come to Wellingtonbridge and visit our studios and showrooms. You can see how the rugs are made here. It is approximately 25 min -30 min drive from Wexford town centre. 

We exhibit here during the Opera festival too which is worth noting. 

I LIKE THE DESIGN BUT IN DIFFERENT COLOURS?

All designs can be made in different colours and sizes. The Jellett’s however, must roughly retain their proportions and relate to original designs as they are art pieces. 

WHICH COLOURS DO YOU HAVE?

We have a vast selection of yarns in our yarn store. If you require anything highly specific we can get that shade dyed  up especially. 

I HAVE A DESIGN IN MIND

No  problem, let us help you realise your creative vision. Often these will require adaptation. For instance, if somebody was to give you a photograph of the beach, you might live trace the image on Adobe   illustrator into areas of colour so it’s tuftable. This requires much communication with the client to ensure their contentment with design alterations. (as long as there is no copyright infringement of course- obviously we cannot reproduce Warhol’s designs without permission etc) 

IS DELIVERY INCLUDED? 

Delivery is included within the Republic of Ireland. 

 I’D BE INTERESTED IN WHOLESALING YOUR RUGS

This generally does not work for us, as such a small enterprise, we don’t have a cost price/wholesale scheme in place. There have been times  we did consider this, but our pricing structure simply didn’t work with the price of stocking the rugs in shops. However, we are open to suggestion,  and if a scheme could be worked out for both parties it might work.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY RUG?

The rugs are incredibly durable and made  to last, many of which have been in hotels and offices for decades  with a lot of footfall, and still look incredible. The rugs are so densely tufted they are remarkably long lasting. The natural nature of the 100% pure wool make the rugs durable and resilient, and easy to clean.

Having  said that, a white rug will always be more susceptible to staining than a dark one – but 

positivity is key! A woman bought another white hearth rug recently because her other one was so easily maintained. 

IS THERE A GUARANTEE

Not currently, but refer to above statement regarding the durability of the rugs. These pieces are made to last. 

CAN I USE CARPET CLEANER ON THE RUG? 

You technically can but it depends upon the type of stain and the cleaning product being used. There  is no simple answer but use common sense  alongside. The ‘Rug  Care‘ section is comprehensive, but if there is still question, give the team a call and we can refer to carpet experts and specialists. 

ARE THE RUGS FLAME GUARDED/STAIN GUARDED?

This can be arranged at an additional cost. The treatment for fire guarding might alter the colour very slightly. The ‘liquid-glass’ treatment means that a wine spillage will simply glide of the rug.

However, we prefer to use our top – quality materials in their purest and most natural form, and don’t perform these treatments as standard because we don’t want to compromise the materials. 

DO YOU DELIVER TO USA? 

We  deliver all over the world. However, only national delivery is included in our price. 

CAN I GET A MAINIE JELLET 22 IN RED AND BLUE? 

Though we generally adopt a very flexible policy in relation to the colours and dimension of our Ceadogan-Classics / Designer ranges, the Mainie Jellet/Modern Heirloom collection does not necessarily apply to this. A small amount of flexibility is allowed in colour and dimensions so long as the essence of the design is not lost, and this would have to be approved by us in advance.

Yes indeed we do! All of our designs can be adapted to runners.
